Music Class
GUMC students attend music class once per week.
We understand the important connection between music and cognitive development. Therefore, we strive to instill a desire in our children to gain an interest and love for music through dancing, singing, and instrument play. Our music teacher provides a developmentally appropriate program that encourages participation, utilizes creative movement, and offers the children many opportunities to learn basic music concepts such as steady beat, fast and slow, loud and soft, and high and low. In addition to our weekly music program, the staff provides additional music and movement activities in their classrooms as part of their circle time! We encourage parents to make music daily with their children!
